I had the opportunity to work with some incredible young people at the annual Hilltop String Festival last week, held in Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. The festival happens each year due to the tireless dedication of Ching-Yi Lin, Andy Braddock and Zachary Ebin.

I also played a solo concert after the workshop, complete with stank face.

I am so proud to be premiering a brand new electric violin concerto soon to be composed by Daniel Bernard Roumain! It is a co-commission by 3 orchestras, The Oakland Symphony, The Wheeling Symphony and one other New York based orchestra who will premiere it in their 26-27 season and so have not yet announced it. (No spoilers but that performance will be at Carnegie Hall.)

Daniel Bernard Roumain is not only a friend for over 20 years, he's also a fellow 6-string violin player, so this is an opportunity I've been waiting many years to make happen.
